Kicking off in the Bleachery
Waltham’s next regular municipal Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd, 2027, so from March 2026 to October 2027 I plan to walk to-and-thru every neighborhood in Waltham at least once as part of a 20 month Waltham Forward Neighborhood Walk-a-thon. A key part of this walk-a-thon is that it will be in person, in real life, and (mostly) offline!

The General Route of the Walk
For this kickoff event, I am going to start in the Bleachery (the neighborhood on the east side of town, north of the river but south of Main Street).
We will meet in front of Connors Memorial Swimming Pool at the corner of River St & Newton St between 10:45-11:00am before making our way eastward toward Lowell Field Park and in the general direction of Gore Place. (We’ll see how far we make it!)
The Purpose of the Walk
As we walk, we will document potential infrastructure improvements, obvious accessibility issues, and likely safety concerns that ought to be addressed by the city.
We will also share a petition about the city website’s lack of ADA compliance, and — more importantly — we will be on a listening tour to get to know our neighbors better.
