Waltham Forward Neighborhood Walk-a-thon (Rangely Acres)

  • Rangely Acres Neighborhood (start at Lowell Field Park) 215 Grove Street Waltham, Massachusetts, 02453 United States (map)

Rambling thru Rangely Acres

Waltham’s next regular municipal Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd, 2027, so from March 2026 to October 2027 I plan to walk to-and-thru every neighborhood in Waltham at least once as part of a 20 month Waltham Forward Neighborhood Walk-a-thon. A key part of this walk-a-thon is that it will be in person, in real life, and (mostly) offline!

The General Route of the Walk

For this event, I am going to casually stroll thru the Rangely Acres neighborhood (south of Main Street & north of Grove St). We will start by the playground of Lowell Field Park on Grove St between 10:45-11:00am before making our way into the neighborhood.

The Purpose of the Walk

As we walk, we will document potential infrastructure improvements, obvious accessibility issues, and likely safety concerns that ought to be addressed by the city.

We will also share a petition about the city website’s lack of ADA compliance, and — more importantly — we will be on a listening tour to get to know our neighbors better.
